Julie’s columns and our room

I got a sneak peek yesterday at Julie’s archery column and I can’t wait until the rest of the world gets to see it. So far she’s tried archery, gymnastics and fencing as well as her regular beach volleyball and basketball games. As usual, she’s a pro at nearly everything she does with the possible exception of gymnastics.

In other news, we paid for our room the other day and it hurt to spend so much. The life of a community journalist isn’t very glamorous. Our digs are at the dorm rooms at East London University, just a tube ride away from the Olympic Village. We will be sharing a common area with four other journalists and sharing a twin bed with each other. I see some floor sleeping in my future.

But you know what? It will be worth it. Now if I can just score a photo pass.
