Yep, we hop into work today one last time then it’s off to London. Well, London and then we catch a plane to Amsterdam for a few day, then into London.
People are asking me what hotel we are staying at and the truth is, we’re not. We will be in the media housing at the University of East London — basically dorm rooms. We won’t know what room we will be in until we step off the plane. Somewhere at Heathrow will be the media check-in where they give us more information. Apparently the legal department for the USOC didn’t want me staying there since I’m not an accredited member of the press. Our contact with the USOC, Peggy Manter, went to bat for us and made it so I get to stay with Julie in the dorms. I did have to pass a background check though. Glad that thing with the thing didn’t show up. Thank you Peggy.
Back to packing and cleaning. I need something to take my mind away from the fact that I will be on a plane in 24 hours … I hate flying.
